| Thailand (DK Eyewitness Travel Guides) (Book)Customer Rating: Reviews:
"This is a great book with beautiful pictures, maps and nice glossy color pages. The only problem being that it is out of date! Having said that, I would not recommend it for your guide book if travelling to Thailand. Wait for an updated issue. I am well travelled in Thailand and some of the descriptions in the book make me feel like I was travelling in Thailand 20 years ago! Hope this helps..." www.HomeIsAway.com great Vacation Casa to Exchange in Thailand. "I found Eyewitness Travel Guide for Thailand very informative, and easy to read. It had tons of pictures, facts, FYIs, and did I mention pictures? Like Eyewitness I agree that a picture is worth a thousand words. I also bought Lonely Planet's Travel Guide for Thailand, but liked Eyewitness' much better. Lonely Planet's Travel Guide had a more standard layout for the abundant amount of facts, but was limited on the pictures. The phrase at the bottom of Eyewitness' book holds true, "The Guides That Show You What Others Only Tell You."" Before exchanging a Alternative Vacation Apartment in Thailand, I would read this book while in Thailand. "This is a good quality book, something you could open and open again.
Highly recommended!" Why not buy this book, and read while on your Alternative Holiday in Thailand. It would be so usefull when you Exchange a Alternative Holiday Casa in Thailand. "This beautifully published glossy guidebook contains an abundance of visually striking, highly professional photography. A few oblique angle illustrations of some temple sites would be a welcome addition to any guide. However, as a source of useful information, it is a disappointment. It is short on hard facts and will undoubtedly be left at home when the trip begins. For an easy-to-use format with more meat I preferred Fodors. At the other extreme, with everything you could possible want to know, is Footprint. The latter, however, is not so user friendly." Before exchanging a Alternative Vacation Property in Thailand, I would buy this book to guide you round the local areas in Thailand. "This is a beautiful, elegant and informative book put together in a distinctive, attractive style. You will want to keep this book after you return from your trip to Thailand so that you may continue to enjoy its illustrations and photos. Recommended for any traveler - however independent travelers should bring another guide book along as well." This book has great information about Thailand. So take it with you when you Exchange a Holiday Villa in Thailand. "If you are looking for a Thailand travel book, this is it. The many beautiful pictures and the well written articles on every aspect of Thai culture are invaluable for the traveller or the person who simply dreams of exotic locales. Definitely a must purchase!" Why not buy this book, and read while on your Vacation in Thailand. It would be so usefull when you Exchange a Vacation Villa in Thailand. |

| Lonely Planet Thailand (Lonely Planet Country & Regional Guides) (Book)Customer Rating: Reviews:
"I have been an LP fan for several years, primarily based on the European guide books. However, I was quite disappointed with the poor organization of the content. It was always confusing to located the information I was seeking. The maps were also not to scale, which can be quite misleading in Bangkok where the city blocks are very, very long. I would look for a better book for Thailand...at least until its next revision." This book has wonderfull information on Thailand, well worth reading if you exchanging a Alternative Holiday Property in Thailand. "LP's latest edition of its Thailand guide is useful in its maps, info on transport infrastructure, and in some places its accomodation suggestions, apart from that it bears all the hallmarks of a book compiled by Joe Cummings from an office in Bangkok: much of the information has not changed since the last edition and some is inaccurate.......As with most LP's though, its worth [it] just for its back up potential while you're on the road" This book has fantastic information about Thailand. So take it with you when you Exchange a Holiday Villa in Thailand. "This is an excellent guide book for those interested in all aspects of Thailand, not just for tourists looking to have a fun fortnight on the beach. It is written by someone who clearly understands and loves the country. Those who complain that he refers to places where no English is spoken should take into account that English is not spoken in most of the country. However, I believe English is spoken widely in Blackpool and Benidorm." Relax with this book when on Vacation in Thailand. It would be so handy when you Exchange a Vacation Apartment in Thailand. |

| The Rough Guide to Thailand (Book)Customer Rating: Reviews:
"Fed up with the traditional Lonely Planet I turned to the Rough Guide for an alternative view. While this guide gives detailed historical/background knowledge it severely lacks in the essentials, notably transport prices and detailed maps.@There were just too many times when this book became a more of a frustration than a help. This book is best read before you go and left at home." A wealth of information about Thailand, a great book if you are thinking about exchanging a Vacation Vacation property in Thailand. "Lonely Planet guides tend not to be quite as in depth as the Rough Guide equivalents, and this is no exception. Great to flick through for a quick and dirty overview, not so good for in depth background reading. As always the information on Bangkok is great, but not so clever once you get out of the capital. We deseperately yearned for a decent city map, and the Mango Tree restaurant in Bangkok (recommnded here and in the Rough Guide) was truly rough!" Before exchanging a Vocation or Holiday Property in Thailand, I would read this book. "I went to Thailand for the first time a week ago. I couldn't use the book to its full due to the Tsunami. I was due to go to Krabi and Phi Phi but had to stay in the un-affected areas. The book was great for a starter but we didn't realise it was the 2002 addition. It maybe that the book has been updated but it didn't say how built up Chewang Beach Koh Samui would be. It sounded great but the book does not mention McDonalds, Starbucks, Boots, you name it every thing you have at home! We found it very helpfull for Bangkok though and to generally get to know Thailand, its history and its culture! I have had rough guide before and they are well worth it, just check the edition!" If you are thinking about exchanging a Vacation Cottages in Thailand, I would buy this book to take with you while in Thailand. |

| Bangkok (Book)Customer Rating: Reviews:
"Compared to LP London and LP Paris I read and have been early this year, I'm a bit disppointed with LP Bangkok. Although it has an amazing section on food/noodles, I'm rather disappointed that the book does not clearly direct and describe to readers how to get to the places/famous spots it suggested!!!! Also the book does not include a map on the Bangkok transit system - making public transit commuting difficult!!!" This book has great information about . So take it with you when you Exchange a Alternative Vacation Villa in . "Amazon.com says this book will be published on March 2005. But try to go to Lonely Planet's online shop, then you can see that it has been published on Sep. 2004. Next, bn.com says it's been publised on March 2004. I don't know which is right. But I'm sure that this book came out already.
I gave 5 stars, however, because I knows LP is a great series at least." This book has a wealth of information on , well worth reading if you exchanging a Alternative Holiday Cottage in . |

| The Rough Guide to Thailand's Beaches and Islands (Rough Guide Travel Guides) (Book)Customer Rating: Reviews:
"I used this book while traveling in Southern Thailand this past summer. The book is great! Having a section on BKK is also very helpful as almost anyone coming/going to Southern Thailand passes through. The book is small and much more convenient than the larger country wide or SE Asia guide books. Assuming you are just going to Southern Thailand.. this is all you need. The format is clear and very well formatted. The prices were a tad off, but this seems to be the norm with guidebooks." Before exchanging a Alternative Holiday Cottage in Thailand, I would read this book. "Just returned from Thailand this week. We used this book (although the cover photo is different, so perhaps we had the previous edition). Some of the bungalow info was different (i.e. unrecognizeable from the book description), but they change so fast that's to be forgiven in any guidebook. What really irked me was the crazy light orange text colour for headings and numbers - trying to read in dim Asian lighting or the back of taxi was extremely difficult. Also, I found the maps oddly placed. Good size, though, and the transportation info was accurate." Why not buy this book, and read while on your Vacation in Thailand. It would be so usefull when you Exchange a Vacation House in Thailand. "An absolute necessity if you are planning on visiting southern Thailand. We have used and used the book. It's real advantage is that it includes Bangkok and the southern beaches and so all holidays are covered. As usual the rough guide is informative and gives plenty of advice. You really need this book if you are planning on visiting Thailand, particularly if you are planning a two-stop or three-stop visit." www.HomeIsAway.com great Alternative Vacation Property to Exchange in Thailand. "I'm going to Thailand for 2 months this summer. I'll be going to Bangkok and the Southern islands of Koh Samui and Koh Phangan, and this book has been invaluable in my planning, I'd strongly reccommend it to everyone planning to go anywhere covered by this book." If you are thinking about exchanging a Vacation Apartments in Thailand, I would buy this book to take with you while in Thailand. "The town maps are truly crap. And i know it's a beach book, but it assumes that you only want to laze on a beach and nothing else. Sorry to say this, but - head for Lonely Planet this time!" Why not buy this book, and read while on your Vocation or Holiday in Thailand. It would be so usefull when you Exchange a Vocation or Holiday Villa in Thailand. |
