It was completely refurbished and extended about 8 years ago to provide a stylish and spacious living area and imposing en-suite master bedroom. The house is on two storeys with a large garage and carport below. The first floor has a very large modern open plan kitchen with all modern appliances and amenities. There is an elegant formal dining area, comfortable lounge with a 42" plasma cable TV and excellent sound system, and a smaller study/sitting room. Large opening patio doors give out to extensive decks and the beautiful garden. There is a great feeling of indoor/outdoor living with ample outdoor furniture and an excellent Barbecue. The library provides a quiet reading area and a small balcony, there is an excellent selection of literature and music. There is one groundfloor bedroom with an en-suite shower which is particularly suitable for a senior. Upstairs there are five further bedrooms, two of which are used as offices, one as a store room and one as large double guestroom. The remaining room is a large and impressive en-suite master bedroom and adjoining dressing room. This bedroom has two sets of patio doors leading to a wrap-around balcony enabling one to enjoy private coffee or cocktails. In all there are 350sqm of living space. All the windows have lovely views either of the tropical garden or the town below. Something about ourselves David and Henriette arrived in New Zealand two years ago aboard their 49` sailing yacht having spent the previous three years sailing from Florida through the Caribbean, the Panama Canal and across the Pacific. Henriette speaks totally fluent Italian, Spanish and French as well as her native German. She has a degree from an American University and until recently worked as an export director of an industrial company. David has a Doctorate from a British university and has been a successful publisher two hours by car from Auckland International Airport.
