| Lonely Planet Prague (Book)Customer Rating: Reviews:
"Just returned from a 7 day visit to Prague. This book went with us everywhere!! We did 2 of the suggested "walks." Loved that it told you what to see if you had an hour or if you had an afternoon. Everyone of the restaurants we visited based on LP's recommedation was amazing. (We're thinking of buying the LP guide to NYC so we know where to grab a bite after work). We also took along the Eye Witness guide when we went to major spots -- Prague Castle, Charles Bridge -- because it had more pictures. Will buy a LP guide for next overseas travel!!" Relax with this book when on Vacation in Czech Republic. It would be so handy when you Exchange a Vacation Apartment in Czech Republic. "Lonely Planet at its best, this book provides a good guide to Prague making it easy to find the main sites in Prague with a useful bit of history thrown in. The maps at the back are very good and I found this to be an invaluable guide on my trip. The warnings about pickpockets and cheating taxi drivers may be out of date as I suspect the authorities have got it under control a bit, as I saw neither of these. I did find my hotel to be right in the middle of the red light district but that’s another story (and yes, it turns out the book knew about that as well!!) I would recommend this book for both a short trip (couple of days) or a longer stay there." Before exchanging a Vacation Property in Czech Republic, I would read this book. "Lonely Planet Guides are always good - mainly because the authors actually seem to have been to the place they're writing about! This ones no exception - the book is clear and informative, divided into easy to read sections, and the maps are very handy. The little section of phrases at the back are handy and we especially liked the guided walks. In summary this is a very handy guide which I'd highly recommended to anyone going on a break to prague - After our week in the city, our copy looked extremely dog-earred and well-thumbed, which has to be a good sign!" Relax with this book when on Alternative Vacation in Czech Republic. It would be so handy when you Exchange a Alternative Vacation Apartment in Czech Republic. "We only spent a weekend in Prague and found this guide a big big help in getting around and the essential things to see and do in a short visit. Clear and easy maps to follow. All the basic information you need to make the most out of your visit. we would not of seen so much in a short period had we not bought the guide." Before exchanging a Vacation Cottage in Czech Republic, I would read this book while in Czech Republic. |

| The Rough Guide to Prague (Rough Guide Travel Guides) (Book)Customer Rating: Reviews:
"Spot on and incisive. Great advice on what to see and do in Prague. And very thorough. From restaurant recommendations to finding that out of the way laundry, this book has it all. If you're going to Prague for a weekend or a month, I can't imagine a more valuable item tucked away in your suitcase." Before exchanging a Alternative Holiday Villa in Czech Republic, I would read this book while in Czech Republic. "This book is packed chock-full of information, but its strength is also its weakness. The dense text is good for those who want detailed information, but is harder to flip through and to use for quick planning or decisions. Most useful for those who may be in Prague for a longer period and want in-depth information. The restaurant and accommodation listings are helpful." A wealth of information about Czech Republic, a great book if you are thinking about exchanging a Vocation or Holiday Vocation or Holiday property in Czech Republic. "A well-written book, with a clear and easy layout. It successfully pointed us away from the crowds (in late March!!) to sights we would otherwise have overlooked. There was much-appreciated detail, without the book getting too thick. The small section on language was useful, although the advice on pronunciation did not match the advice of the locals I consulted. All round, a very good guidebook, which should meet the needs of visitors who want to see the sights of a beautiful city and who don't just want to stick to the well-trodden path of the castle, the old town square and Wenceslas Square. One caution - one recommended restaurant we went to had jumped from the cheap price range to the expensive. The food was excellent and we were pleased to have gone there, but it pays to check the menu first if your budget is tight!" Before exchanging a Alternative Holiday Apartment in Czech Republic, I would read this book. "This book has fantastic for my first trip to Prague. It has detailed mapsfor each and every section of the city explained, as well as excellentpractical advice, phone numbers; everything you could need. Theinformation is accurate and up to date, well laid out, and you can read itin as little or as much detail as you wish" A wealth of information about Czech Republic, a great book if you are thinking about exchanging a Vacation Vacation property in Czech Republic. "Whilst I've been in the habit of buying the Rough Guide to Prague for every visit to the city since 1993 I have to say that the latest edition is now in great need of updating - especially where the restaurants section is concerned. Although understandably, eating and drinking in Prague will always be a changable entity - you should take the reviews (particularly with regards to prices) with a pinch of salt!! For our most recent visit we actually found that the better restaurants were not even listed." This book has great information on Czech Republic, well worth reading if you exchanging a Alternative Vacation Villa in Czech Republic. |

| Lonely Planet Czech Phrasebook (Phrasebook S.) (Book)Customer Rating: Reviews:
"This book was a lifesaver when I visited Prague! The book is invaluable to any English speaking tourists visiting the Czech Republic. The phonetic translations were understood by all native Czech people I met! The phrasebook also makes for a good read with sections on history, geography and local customs. I recommend this book to anyone wanting to visit the fantastic Czech Republic!" Why not buy this book, and read while on your Vacation in Czech Republic. | The Czech and Slovak Republics (Rough Guide Travel Guides) (Book)Customer Rating: Reviews:
"My continued use of lonely planet guides is indicative of the quality I find. It is an excellent guide for us. We travel by car and lp is a plus for us as we can get to more remote area. It was right on target with the Czech & Slovak Rep guide. We found a wonderful place to visit and stay called Telc with their recommendation. My only criticism is that the binding did not hold up and the book came loose from it. It was difficult to turn pages because of occasional pages becoming loose." Before exchanging a Vacation Property in Czech Republic, I would read this book while in Czech Republic. "This book is chock full of details, with history and facts impressively presented for sights throughout the Czech Republic and Slovakia, places small and large. The dense pages are hard to navigate as they are formatted, making it difficult to find information quickly. Also, the author seems to have traveled by car and the book lacks practical information on public transportation, such as how long it takes to travel from one place to another and how much bus or train tickets cost. This book will provide you with great background information once you are already there, but for practical trip planning, I found I needed to refer to the Lonely Planet." Why not buy this book, and read while on your Alternative Holiday in Czech Republic. It would be so usefull when you Exchange a Alternative Holiday Villa in Czech Republic. "Despite how stupidly the book review begins, the guide is good. It offers all the information clearly and well organized." Relax with this book when on Holiday in Czech Republic. It would be so handy when you Exchange a Holiday Cottage in Czech Republic. |

| The Coasts of Bohemia: Czech History (Book)Customer Rating: Reviews:
"The book's subtitle is "A Czech History," but people looking for a general history of the Czech lands will be disappointed. Sayer focuses not on battlefields and parliaments but on art, literature and historiography. He either completely ignores or barely mentions such topics as the world wars, the Munich Pact and the Communist coup while devoting dozens of pages to poets, artists and critics. Thus, despite the rather esoteric nature of Czech history, Sayer assumes readers already know the basics. I guess a title like "The Humanities and Czech Identity, 1620-1960" wouldn't sell as well." A wealth of information about Czech Republic, a great book if you are thinking about exchanging a Holiday Holiday property in Czech Republic. "A previous reviewer is right--this is not a Czech history. But it is the history of how Czech culture has been formed. For that, it is fascinating--For a straight history, look elsewhere. If you are travelling to Prague, it will make many sites much richer--Vysehrad cemetery, the National Theatre, Old Town Square." Before exchanging a Vacation Casa in Czech Republic, I would read this book. |
