It is convenient for the restaurants and bars, shops, ski / snowboard hire and connections to the slopes. There is plenty to see and do in and around Zabljak. The town lies in the shadow of the Durmitor mountains, some 23 peaks over 2,200 meter high, within which lie some 18 mountain glacial lakes and large areas of unspoilt ancient pine forests. Just a step outside the Snow Chalet you can enjoy the fresh mountain air and exhilarating views. Changing with the seasons the area has something to offer all year round. Activities include: - Cycling / mountain biking - Horse-riding - White water rafting on the Tara Canyon - Skiing, snowboarding and other winter sports - Walking / Mountaineering The area was made a national park in 1952, and in 1980 it was included as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, one of only a handful of natural sites to be chosen. The chalet provides accommodation for up to 4 adults / children, and has been simply yet comfortably furnished, to provide a warm, clean and relaxing base for your stay in Montenegro. Downstairs is an open plan living space including kitchen, dining and lounge areas. There is also a downstairs bathroom with shower, toilet and hand basin.
