This pretty terraced house is situated in a mediaeval part of the Old Town of Nyons. It is close to all the experiences and activities of this thriving market town which was established in Roman times.   Nyons is surrounded by beautiful Provencal scenery - to the east by the Préalpe hills rising to the alps, with breathtaking drives and walks, and, to the west, by vineyards and olive groves, interset by apricot orchards and lavender fields. It lies within the Cote du Rhone wine-growing area, and is situated 30 minutes east of the River Rhone, with Orange, Montélimar, historic Avignon and the Gorges de l`Ardeche within an easy drive.   It is also a pleasant day`s drive to the World Heritage Site Roman Aqueduct at the Pont du Gard, the beautiful Camargue town of Arles, and many other Mediterranean towns to the south. Nearer to home, there are many charming villages to explore, each with its own character, historic interest an with excellent restaurants.   The accommodation comprises :   On the ground floor - Fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, new cooker and washing machine.    Spacious dining area.   Comfortable, stylish sitting-room, which leads from the kitchen/dining area and opens on to a secluded flower-filled terrace at the rear. There are views from the terrace to the beautiful tree-covered Garde Grosse hills to the south, where paragliders often set sail on their journeys to land beside the river Eygues which winds through the town close to the terrace.   On the upper floor -   Spacious double bedroom, also with views to the hills, with comfortable double bed and ample hanging and storage.   Bookroom/second bedroom with a single bed and storage.   Second double bedroom (available by prior arrangement, with 2 single beds, with ample storage. (This room is accessible through the bookroom.)   Bathroom with large shower, hand-basin and toilet.   For longer lets and winter lets, special rates may be available.
