Foussais Payré is classed as a "Petite Cité de Caractère" Little town of character - with its 11/12th century church front, the Priory, and Renaissance houses.      You will no doubt appreciate being here for the "Nuits Musicales en Vendée Romane" the musical evenings in Roman Vendée - 6 concerts during July and August.      In the area, you can visit the Abbeys at Nieul sur l`Autize and Maillezais, and you will appreciate the church parvis and the sights at Vouvant. Only 50 kms away, the Puy du Fou Grand Parc and La Rochelle.
