"Pocket sized but then so is Bermuda at 21 square miles. This covers most of the things you need to know for a couple of weeks holiday and is cheaper and easier to carry around than other guides. There is no cheap way to visit Bermuda so other more expensive and bulkier guides are not really of more benefit. Still useful after a few months. If going to work in Bermuda you want to do the research beforehand, not rely on a tourist guide, but this is still handy when out and about in view of its portability." This book has great information on Bermuda, well worth reading if you buying a Vacation Property in Bermuda.

"I spent two weeks in Bermuda, and was very glad I brought this book along with me. I doubt very much that there are many interesting corners of the country that have been overlooked by the authors of this guide -- some of which I never would have thought to investigate had this book not alerted me to their existence. I especially appreciated all the historical and cultural details, and found that it was an invaluable tool in keeping costs down in a country where just about everything is VERY pricey. This book has since been re-used by other members of my family on their own trips to Bermuda, and has paid for itself several times over." "Armed only with the old edition of this guide, and mounted on my trusty scooter, I managed to see more or less everything that there is to see in Bermuda over the space of ten days.

The detailed maps were particularly helpful - despite its size (tiny!), Bermuda is criss-crossed by miles and miles of roads ranging from dual carriageway to jungly lane. With the Lonely Planet guide in your hand, you can explore the island without the fear of getting helplessly lost...providing you can map-read, of course.

In terms of listing and rating the sights, the beaches, and places to eat and drink, the guide was often invaluable and never less than helpful.

Obviously Bermuda is a very compact place, so the detail in the guide is perhaps not so surprising. I would be interested to see whether Lonely Planet guides to larger countries match up.

The book provides and focuses on distiguishing characteristics and certain behaviors that a diver or a hobbyist might see in encounters with these fish. Contains a great full-color plate section as well as basic outlines/silhouettes and of course brief yet detailed descriptions.
